"Having been a former pediatric emergency room nurse, I am very discriminating in terms of the qualities and qualifications any pet sitter might have. We moved to the North Bay from San Diego in late July, and three weeks later, left on a vacation to Alaska, leaving behind our 16 year old dog, a Siamese cat, and a tortoise. Unfortunately, our little Pug, (the 16 year old) had to have emergency dental surgery the week before we left, making it more difficult to leave town and to leave our pets in the care of someone we would have to trust with their care. After searching the Pet Sitters International Site, and finding Mandy’s name, I contacted her and shortly thereafter met her at our home. Her medical expertise was evident as she gathered critical information to care for our pets. Mandy’s background in the veterinary medical field is extensive, and is embellished by her love and compassion toward animals. While we were away, our recovering Pug stayed at Mandy’s home so she could keep a close eye on him. She was competent, warm, caring and knowledgeable. She provided the same level of care excellence to our cat and tortoise, and updated us by rapidly responding to our emails and cell phone calls while we were away. Finding Mandy has been such a support to our family. My husband, daughter and I most worried about our 16 year old Pug, but we truly felt confident that Mandy would provide him with the best care available. She did, and we will use her again and again in the future. Part of the difficulty in moving is finding reputable Dr.’s, dentists, vets, and pet sitters. We feel very fortunate to have found Mandy."
